Turkish Social Entrepreneurship Network - Thursday Meetings continue with international topics and guests!  Three social entrepreneurs from three different continents are coming together! Nina Othman, founder of Grow the Goose, who works for the financial literacy of children in Malaysia; Samer Sfeir, founder of ProAbled, working on disability employment in Lebanon and Afonso Mendonça Reis, founder of Mentes Empreendedoras, who supports young people to realize their potential, will be with us at TSEN Thursday Meetings. Grow the Goose is a social enterprise that started out running financial empowerment programs for children to help them attain financial wisdom entering adulthood. 60% of the nett profits is used to run free programs for children from marginalised communities. Grow the Goose was later extended to teens in 2016 and adults in 2018. Borneo Cocoa, a social enterprise empowering small cocoa growers in Borneo with the knowledge & skills to create their own cocoa-based products and earn better incomes through ethical & sustainable cocoa farming & production. Mentes Empreendedoras create leaders with impact for the community through the implementation of programmes that respond to local and specific needs. ProAbled is a social enterprise dedicated for employment of persons with disabilities or financial challenges. ProAbled trains companies on inclusive recruitment, holds workshops for persons with disabilities on work readiness skills, and supports employers to find the right candidates with disabilities for their job vacancies.
